According to Philip Crosby every organization has two structures; whilst the formal one is contained in the strategic plan the most critical one is the everyday relationship of the team members. This is the area we particularly focus on because human beings are creatures of habits; we form our habits, which form our daily interactions eventually forming our futures.
Most people do not underperform because they necessarily lack the requisite skills in executing their responsibilities. More often it is because the work environment is not a powerful enabler to the full exploitation of one’s potential. The kind of environment that obtains in an organization is simply a factor of the composite behavior of its individual team members.
Action-Centered Experiential Learning (ACEL) Model
Our unique Action-Centered Experiential Learning (ACEL) Model focuses on shared and action-oriented learning as opposed to mere training. It is informed by the realization that most organizations already possess the ‘hard’ factors – skills, knowledge, experience, education and tools for performance. However relying solely on these skills will not make a company a game winner.
We complement company efforts to help release individual and team potential and efficacy by cutting through the ‘soft’ factor barriers to success – old habits, attitude, beliefs and interpersonal skills.
We aim at behavior transformation by first challenging and then inspiring staff to take personal charge, ownership and be accountable for their career success. The inspired staff are then able to set both individual and team goals in a manner that overcomes resistance to change and helps to sustain energy, creativity and stellar results.
We first work with the teams and their leaders to establish the specific performance gaps that need to be addressed. Causes of these gaps are also identified and the most appropriate remedies are mutually discussed and agreed.
